Well, live-edge and natural-edge furniture are essentially the same style, celebrating a wood slab's original, organic shape. Most woodworkers use the terms interchangeably. Still, some manufacturers differentiate these terms in the following way: live edge means the bark is kept (or removed but the raw contour remains), while natural edge is just the smooth, raw wood contour without bark.
